Barham Vines was borne from this love, along with our passion for sharing good wine and food with family and friends. The shift from loving good wine to producing good wine was a natural one for us, and we’re thrilled you’ve stopped by our site for a look-see.
If you like what you see, why not come visit our stunning, small-batch vineyard in picturesque Barham. Our natural bush setting is literally untouched, perfect for relaxing with a glass of red and so good for the soul.
Snuggled in perfectly amongst vines and the river redgums, our funked-up shipping container come cellar door is an absolutely cracking spot to gather with good friends, eat good food and drink good wine. It’s what we do best. No need to worry, we know not everyone loves red wine as much we do, we have plenty of other choices on offer as well.
Plan a trip to Murray River Country and put Barham Vines on your itinerary. You’ll find us at 62 Riverview Drive Barham. Call 0411 62WINE or make a booking!
Tempranillo is proving to be our most popular variety and with very limited stock it is only available to wine club members or from our cellar door.
Shiraz tend to taste richer, riper, full-bodied and tends to taste slightly sweeter.
Cabernet Sauvignon's small, thick-skinned grapes produce a very powerful, recognisable aroma of blackcurrants and a distinctive deep purple colour.
All good wineries should be borne of a love for a good drop and what essentially started as a hobby, has now become an ongoing project of love, passion and team-work.
Barham Vines is made up of two brothers, Peter and Colin, who along with partners Kelly and Sharon created a business from our love of wine and sharing it with family and friends. Our business is basically a happy extension of relaxed Saturday afternoons with friends!
As passionate and community minded locals, we’ve managed to create something really special here in beautiful Murray River Country that can be shared with both locals and visitors alike.
We planted two acres of vines back in 2012 to establish the only commercial winery in the local area, we’re proud of our Shiraz, Cabernet and Tempranillo varieties and can’t wait for you to get to know them better.
All good wineries should be borne of a love for a good drop and what essentially started as a hobby, has now become an ongoing project of love, passion and hard-work, and something that we are proud to put our family name to.
Our small batch, boutique winery is set amongst a classic Australian bush backdrop, with a sprawling space of green, enveloped in river redgums and rows of our beloved vines.
It’s all about relaxing and fun here at Barham Vines, however we do take our wine producing seriously. So much so, we have dedicated an entire day to celebrate our Tempranillo variety - a full bodied red native to Spain. See our events page for all the details.
We’ve also got your Saturday afternoons sorted for you at Barham Vines with wood fired, homemade pizza to accompany the variety of your choice… we really have thought of everything!
We can’t think of a better combination than our chilled-out bush setting and a bloody good glass of red wine.
What are you waiting for… Come see us soon!
You’ll find us open most Saturdays from 12pm.
We harvest by hand here at Barham Vines and welcome anyone who’s keen to lend a hand. Like most hobbies this is a task done for the love of it, however all help is well rewarded with food, wine and a few of our best drops when the work is done.
Our Harvest by Hand Day is fun, friendly and social and is a nod to traditional wine producing practices that are gentler on the vines than a mechanical harvester. Hand harvesting also allows us to be more selective when picking the quality fruit from any spoilt grapes. Hand picking also reduces litter at our picturesque vineyard, with any leaves and debris are collected along the way
We look forward to this annual gathering of family and friends, who love joining us to harvest the fruits of our labour. We can’t think of a better way to spend the morning, side by side in the vineyard with our helpers, enjoying a good catch up while we pick before relaxing with a cold beer or glass of red when the working day is done.
While we hate to play favourites, we have to say that our Wine Club is a little ‘exclusive’ for those who love our wines as much as we do.
Apart from the mate’s rates discounts, early access to new releases and invites to our special events (we are family after all), Wine Club members receive a full case of wine twice a year. If you’re keen to get your hands on our limited stock of Tempranillo, our Wine Club is your best option as it’s only available to members or from our cellar door.
Join today and all you have to do is decide on the combination you’ll include in your case, and if this means a bit of research, you had better organise a visit for some personal tastings.
