As well as offering woodfired pizzas on a regular basis, we love hosting unique and personal events here at Barham Vines. Why not gather your family and friends for that special occasion for an unforgettable experience in our family-friendly setting. Our picturesque setting beneath the gum trees, with views to our vines and beautifully manicured lawn, is the ideal outdoor space for cocktails or any outdoor dining. We are blessed with sensational weather around these parts, but we do offer an option of a marquee if you prefer.
We also love hosting food and wine inspired events - it’s what we love the most – and insist you enter the following dates in your calendar...
Held on the last Saturday of the month Murray River Street Eats at Barham Vines is going to be amazing! For starters there'll be Hold My Buns, Pink Soda, Pizza, buskers, and more. Due to the current circumstances, tables are limited therefore we recommend booking your table.
Put the second and fourth Friday in your calendar to enjoy a Friday night wind down with friends. Snacks and finger food available thanks to Burbury and Mathers, and the picturesque out door dining space provided by us! Bookings are essential.
This is one of our favourite weekends of the year and is always a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones while enjoying the beautiful autumn weather. All going well we aim to harvest our grapes on the Victorian Labour Day March long weekend. We do, however keep our options open as so much depends on each season and the with the accurate ripeness of the fruit is the key deciding factor in locking this event in. It’s a little bit of work, but loads of fun and we always reward our pickers with a delicious homemade brunch and well-deserved drink when the harvesting is done for the day
Degustation Dinner date to be confirmed
Don’t miss an amazing eight course dinner prepared by the very talented Burbury and Mathers (organic local Berkshire pork farmers), under the blanket of winter stars and complemented by a selection Barham Vines wines. Watch this space for an update on a date.
Beef and Red Wine date to be confirmed
Join us for a fun and social day celebrating the natural, and delicious pairing of beef and red wine. Our first Beef and Red Wine Day in 2019 involved a lovely day on the riverbank with a fire and the most delicious camp oven meal that we’ve had in ages of Beef and red wine casserole. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we thought we should share it with you here (online link to recipe). Naturally the red wine ingredient in the recipe is a bottle of our very own 2015 Cabernet Shiraz, which works wonders in the camp oven. At last year's event this scrumptious casserole was paired beautifully with a glass of our 2016 Shiraz and we had some very satisfied beef and wine lovers keen to come back in 2020. Watch this space for this year’s Beef and Red Wine Day details.
Tempranillo Day Celebrations - date to be confirmed
We love our Tempranillo! Tempranillo Day is an annual internationally recognised event celebrated on the second Thursday of November each year. We pay homage to this famous Spanish wine variety the following weekend and our celebrations include tapas, Sangria, and live music, with Tempranillo as our focal point - what’s not to love?
